Project objective

To restore production of food security crops for the targeted smallholder farmers.

Project Summary

EFSP provides support to the agricultural sector and is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The project objective will be achieved through (i) immediate interventions that provide access to a full package of agricultural inputs and services to restore production, and (ii) rehabilitation of irrigation schemes and watersheds, to restore productive capacity and generate short-term employment opportunities. EFSP includes three primary components—restoring agriculture production, improving water and resilient services, and providing implementation support—and various related sub-components.
